Entrepreneurs’
Organisation, Coimbatore, is joining hands with Deloitte and Barclays,
multinational companies that provide financial services across the globe, for
the ‘EO Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2013.
Rather than turnover and profits, the criteria for the award was
spirit of entrepreneurship behind the company.
Entrepreneurs in the Western districts of Coimbatore, Tirupur,
the Nilgiris, Erode, Namakkal, and Salem would be considered. Either other
entrepreneurs or members of the EO Coimbatore could nominate people for the
award.
The winner will be selected by a panel comprising Satya Bansal,
chief executive officer of Barclays wealth management; C.R. Rajagopal, managing
partner of Deloitte Coimbatore; Vikram Mohan, managing director of Pricol; and
Mr. Nikhil Sunil.
The EO comprised 8,700 members across 35 countries that have 122
chapters, of which 11 are in India. The Coimbatore chapter was launched in
December 2010.
