The 29th
convocation of Bharathiar University will be held here on June 6.
Governor
and Chancellor of the university K. Rosaiah will preside over the convocation.
Former
distinguished scientist and Chief Controller (R&D), Defence Research and
Development Organisation W. Selvamurthy, will be the chief guest and deliver
the convocation address. Minister for Higher Education P. Palaniappan will be
present.
The
convocation will take place at the Dr. Usha Kirtilal Mehta Convention Centre at
11 a.m. As many as 19,760 candidates will receive degree certificates and
diplomas.
