Pet adoption camp

Humane Animal Society (HAS)

Humane Animal Society (HAS) is conducting its first anniversary adoption camp for puppies and kittens.
According to Mini Vasudevan, Managing Trustee, HAS, as many as 30 pups and 10 kittens are looking for homes.

Mongrel pups and kittens will be given free of cost to responsible owners with a valid ID and address proof. Veterinarians will be available on site to provide tips for maintenance of the new pets.

The shelter will provide free veterinary assistance for life and give free vaccines every year.

The shelter is also looking for people who are willing to foster pups to be given away to new homes.

Pointing out that mongrel pups were better suited for the Indian environment because of higher immunity due to better genetic diversity and low maintenance, she urged people to adopt rather than buy pets.

HAS is looking for volunteers in helping manage the show, for speaking to potential adoptive parents, coordinating movement of people and dogs, and being in charge of pups until adoption formalities are completed.

Date: July 7, 2013
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Venue: Ram Apartments, Lakshmi Mills Junction, Puliakulam Road.
