Training for teachers

The State Council for Education, Research and Training (SCERT) is conducting a content enrichment training programme for 673 postgraduate teachers handling Plus one and Plus Two in Government schools in Coimbatore.

Chief Educational Officer A. Gnanagowri inaugurated the training at Government Teacher Training Institute at Raja Street on Monday in the presence of District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Principal K.B. Gopalan.

DIET lecturer who was coordinating the training, the objective was to help the teachers handle difficult lessons and reach out to the students effectively. Another major aim was to make students comprehend the subjects, which would help them while facing competitive examinations.

The training would conclude on September 10.
