The
admission counselling for B.Tech. programmes (2013-17) in Amrita University
will be held from June 5 to 14.
A total of 2,000 students
will be admitted to one of the three campuses of the university – Amritapuri,
Bangalore, and Coimbatore - based on the ranks obtained in the Amrita Entrance
Examination.
Call letters have been sent to the first 9,000 ranks. On day
one, students in Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST) category will be
called.
Counselling will take place simultaneously for all the three
campuses and students can attend the process in any of the campus.
A scholarship programme – Amrita Vidyanidhi – has been
instituted to support financially weak students who have secured high ranks in
the Amrita Entrance Examination. A total of 300 students will be covered under
this scheme as they will be provided a fee waiver of Rs. 50,000 per year. A sum
of Rs. 1.5 crore has been earmarked for scholarships to first year students.
The ranks and seat availability will be displayed in the
counselling hall. The university website (www.amrita.edu) will be updated every
day on the counselling procress.
