Applications for police youth brigade
The Coimbatore City Police have called for applications from eligible candidates for joining the Tamil Nadu Special Police Youth Brigade (TNSPYB).
The persons who had completed 18 years of age as on January 1, 2013 are eligible to apply provided they had completed Class X or SSLC.
Those coming under the general category should not have crossed 25 years of age, interested persons from Backward Castes, Most Backward Castes 27 and those from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes 30.
The number of posts was 110.
The selection process involved a written test for 100 marks.
Those who cleared the examination – the pass mark is 35 – would be called for physical test.
The selected candidates would be allowed to serve till they reached 40 years of age.
Application could be obtained from the Office of the City Police Commissioner. Alternatively, interested persons could also download the application from www.tnusrb.tn.gov.in or www.tnpolice.gov.in
