It revolves around Ryuhei, Megumi and their son Kenji.  The movie begins with Ryuhei losing his job.  But, he keeps it a secret from his family.  However, Megumi finds this out.  The rest of the film deals with how the family comes to terms with this reality and their financial insecurities.

Goddesses tells the story of three women; Lakshmi, a funeral singer, Krishnaveni, a grave-digger, and Sethuraku, a fisherwoman.

Mathamma is a 16 minute documentary about the peculiar customs of the Arunthathiyar community in a village near Arakkonam, Chennai.
