The South India textiles Research Association will conduct
job-oriented training at powerloom service centres at Komarapalayam, Palladam,
Rajapalayam, Somanur, Tiruchengode and Coimbatore.
Some of the courses it will conduct are in: knitting
technology, weaver training, fitters training, hand and machine embroidery,
computer aided textile design and power sewing machine operation.
Interview for the courses will be held on Tuesday (July 2)
at the weaving department of the association in Coimbatore.
