Awareness programme on tiger conservation



Forest College and Research Institute (FCRI), Mettupalayam, Nature Conservation Society (NCS), Rotary Club of Mettupalayam and World Wide Fund for Nature-India are jointly organising a programme to create awareness on tiger conservation.

The Global Tiger day is celebrated every year on July 29th to create awareness on conservation of tigers.

Fancy dress competitions, skits and cultural programmes will be held for school children in four categories:
1. Category A was L.K.G. to class I
2. Category B class II to V
3. Category C class VI to VIII 
4. Category D class IX to XII

Topics:
1. Need to conserve tigers and wildlife.
2. What is the ecological role played by tigers and wildlife?
3. What is the role of people in conserving forests and water and nature.
