The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Karunya University will organise a national workshop on “The Future of Wind Power: Innovations and Research Challenges” on March 22 and 23.
The objective of the workshop is to review the state-of-the-art technologies in wind power and inform the participants on the opportunities that will be available in the wind industry.
K. Kasthoorirangaian, chairman of Indian Wind Power Association, and vice-president of World Wind Energy Association, Bonn, Germany, will inaugurate the workshop, and speak on “Challenges and Innovations in On-Shore and Off-Shore Wind Farms”.
S. Gomathinayagam, executive director, Centre for Wind Energy Technology, an autonomous research and development institution under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India, will also speak in the workshop.
