Scholarship

The Vijayalakshmi Charitable Trust will hand over scholarship for college students at its 24^th annual scholarship function. 

It will be a sum of Rs. 12,500 each for second year degree students who have been receiving the scholarship since 2009.  They were provided Rs. 5,000 while in school.  Those undergoing professional courses will be provided Rs. 25, 000 each.

Workshop for environmental activists

Wild Wing Society (WWS) organises a capacity building workshop for environmental activists and representatives of non-governmental organizations working on wildlife and environment conservation in Western Ghats.

The four major sub themes of the workshop:

1.  Wildlife and environment law, advocacy and activism

2. Environment education

3. Man-animal conflict

4. Green cover outside protected areas
