Chairman of
the Search Committee for appointment of Vice-Chancellor
of the Gandhigram Rural Institute – Deemed University E. Balagurusamy has
invited applications from eligible candidates for the post of Vice-Chancellor.
Eligibility
He has asked academics who are ‘excited about institution
building and who have a proven track record of academic and administrative
leadership with impeccable character and integrity’ to send applications. They
should have a minimum of 10 years experience and should be in the rank of a
university professor.
Applications should reach the Registrar of the university before
August 31.
Applications should include a detailed chronological resume
containing qualifications, experience and achievements, not exceeding five
pages.
Summary
A summary of description justifying the suitability for the
post, a plan of action for making the university a national centre of
excellence, and a SWOT analysis for self and the university, should also be
attached.
Interaction
Short-listed candidates may be invited for personal interaction
with the search committee.
