The Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension of Avinashilingam University for Women has been sanctioned to conduct four courses for women under the aegis of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of Government of India. The courses will be conducted free of cost.
Courses
The courses on costume making and artificial jewellery, beauty parlour with focus on herbal products, and fashion designing, will be for 25 days each. Those who have passed Plus-Two are eligible to apply for these courses.
Another course on ethnic and novel minor millet products for 30 days will be offered to those who have passed Standard X.
Women, who are interested in becoming entrepreneurs and who are between the age group of 21 and 35 years, can apply.
On successful completion, a certificate will be issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu. In addition, credit facility options will be offered to women who are interested in starting their ventures.
