The silver jubilee celebrations of Kasthuri Sreenivasan Trust that formally began on December 15, 2013, will culminate in a valediction function here on January 4.
It will begin with the Kasthuri Sreenivasan Memorial Lectures. The function will begin at 5.30 p.m. D. Sarath Chandran, Managing Trustee, Kasthuri Sreenivasan Trust, will preside. Actor Sivakumar will be the chief guest and deliver the silver jubilee valedictory address. He will also present the Smt. Rangammal Tamil Novel Prize and sixth Barbara Sreenivasan Memorial Awards for Fine Arts.
Perumal Murugan is the winner of the Rangammal Memorial Tamil Novel Prize for the novel ‘Aalantaappatci’. Students of Nrityangana School of Classical Dance and Music will put up a Bharatanatyam performance.
An exhibition of the award winning paintings will be on display from January 5 to 11.
